Ma peinture est hors de la conception traditionnelle où l’artiste part d’une idée de l’œuvre finie. Sans desseins préconçus, je travaille mes couleurs qui ne sont en fait que le reflet de mes émotions. Elles vont déclencher des moments, des lieux, des sentiments.La finalité n’est qu’une représentation subjective enfouie dans mon inconscient

Agnès Descamps réinterprète de façon contemporaine l’image des grands classiques de l’histoire de l’art tels « la Vénus de Milo » ou « le Penseur et le Baiser de Rodin ». Son travail actuel s’oriente vers une simplification du volume pour n’en retenir qu’une image, un dessin… une silhouette.
Par un équilibre subtil de pleins et de vides, ces sculptures-silhouettes font écho à notre mémoire et réveillent nos émotions…
